|
Spirit of Dubuque Sightseeing Dinner Cruises feature one vessel which is an authentic dual paddlewheeler built in 1966-1967 by the Scully Brothers Company in Los Angeles.
Spirit of Dubuque Sightseeing Dinner Cruises offers a variety of lunch, dinner, murder mystery and theme cruises. The river cruise on the Mississippi River promises great fun and adventure. The paddlewheeler has decorative smokestacks and a scalloped canopy over its open-air deck. A dining salon beautifully decorated in Victorian style, in colours of red and gold.
Afternoon cruises and dinner cruises are available by the Spirit of Dubuque Sightseeing Cruises. Tickets for the Spirit of Dubuque are available at the Port of Dubuque, near the Diamond Jo Casino and the Mississippi River Museum. Boarding is also from the same place.
The Spirit of Dubuque Sightseeing Dinner Cruises will first take you downstream, past the Julien Dubuque Monument near the Mines of Spain. You will then head back upstream and pass the city skyline through a "swing span" railroad bridge, and to within viewing distance of Lock and Dam #11. The trip is narrated and you will discover more about the human and natural history of this interesting area where Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois meet.
